Blenheim Brunch

BLENHEIM BRUNCH

Congratulations to Brenda Duckworth and her team from local Methodist Churches who catered for the Blenheim Brunch held at Haworth Road Methodist Church on 19th October.

The ‘restaurant’ was full (just short of a String Quartet playing in the corner!) The friendly reception committee were on hand to make us welcome.  As usual, the kitchen staff ‘kept their cool’ and kept the food, which was excellent, flowing.  The dietary variations were greatly appreciated.

Overstretched waiters and waitresses attended to our every whim (they didn’t even have time to accept their tips!). Setting up and clearing away afterwards was no mean task but somebody had to do it!  Well done, all the helpers - your hard work was greatly appreciated!

It is surprising how many inter-church friends we make as a result of numerous circuit activities over the years, and it is great to meet up with them on these occasions, if only for a short time.

Everybody enjoyed themselves and our BlenheimProject benefited to the tune of £330.  Well done to all concerned.

Biblefresh Festival 11 June 2011 - bookings now open

Bradford North and South Circuits invite you to their city-wide Biblefresh Festival Saturday 11 June 2011 Full details and booking form

Andrew to stay!

We are delighted to report that the Circuit Meeting, on 16 September, voted unanimously to appoint Rev Andrew Taylor as a full-time member of the Bradford North ministerial team, from 1 September 2015 for a period of 5 years. This ends the uncertainty over the future staffing of the circuit, following the unsuccessful search for a minister from the United Reformed Church. Andrew has been working with the team in a temporary, reduced-hours, capacity over the past 12 months and his ministry has been greatly appreciated. The unanimous vote by the Circuit Meeting is a ringing endorsement of the way all our churches feel about Andrew.
