Fair Trade Big Brew Tea Party

A Big Brew Tea Party will be taking place at Calverley Methodist Church on Saturday 13 March 2010 at 3.00 pm. There will be a Fair Trade stall and children's activities. Tickets £2 available on the door or from Ros Jackson.

Fresh Aire Fair Trade

Our Fairtrade organising committee will be launching its new name, Fresh Aire Fair Trade, during Fairtrade Fortnight with a circuit event: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon Saturday 12 March 2011 St Andrew's Methodist Church The event will be opened by Rev Richard Atkinson, former minister of the Woodhouse Grove Circuit and Chaplain of Woodhouse Grove School. Richard is making a special visit back to the circuit for the event which will include refreshments and opportunities to buy "Fair Trade" and "Traidcraft" food and gifts. There will be children's events and a chance for all to win a prize by designing a new logo for the group. We look forward to welcoming you. April message from the Ministry Team

As April begins, we are still in the season of Lent, but at least some of our thoughts will be turning towards Easter - celebration of resurrection, preparations for school holidays, the reintroduction of presently-denied treats.  In the meantime, are we using well the opportunities the season of Lent affords us: a time to pause and reflect upon what the Lord wants from us, a time for listening to His voice and seeking His will?  If you have been in one of my services over recent months, you will have heard me quote from Philippians 1:6 ‘He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus’.  The day we go to be with Jesus or the day of his return, whichever comes first.  None of us, whether young or old, chronologically or spiritually, is beyond His call.  What is God calling us to?  Maybe it is to come to faith in Him.  Maybe He is calling you to a new area of service, to take up new responsibilities, to ...
