Open every Friday 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm Free refreshments available All welcome Feeling lonely? Want to make new friends? Need someone to listen to you? Want somewhere to spend a quiet time? Need a helping hand? Space to spend time with a friend? Just want the free tea or coffee? You can be sure of a warm welcome. Come alone, or better still, bring a friend. The Drop-in-Centre opened seven years ago and our records show that we have welcomed nearly 1,500 visitors in that time. How much tea/coffee and biscuits has been consumed we can't say; nor how many food parcels have been handed out. The Drop-in-Centre offers confidentiality, friendship, support and hope to all! We are currently managing a Durg & Alcohol Awareness Project (funded by CNet & Wellbeing & the Methodist Church) which will run from october for 28 weeks. Project 6 (Keighley based Alcohol & Drug Service Unit) will supply a Project Workers. Want to know more? Then contact any of the leaders.

Prior to being the Interfaith elations Officer, Joy Barrow taught Religious Studies in London Secondary Schools for 25 years, after which she was Director of the International Interfaith Centre in Oxford. Joy has been studying Sikhism, and has been actively involved in interfaith dialogue for over 30 years. She has a PhD in Sikh spirituality from Leeds University and, in 2003, was Visiting Fellow at Punjabi University, India. Joy is particularly interest in Christian-Sikh dialogue. she edited "Meeting Sikhs" for Christ

A Supper Evening for Phakamisa

7.30 pm 19 November 2010 - Baildon Methodist Church Having returned home following a two week visit at the beginning of October to Phakamisa, a ministry of the Pinetown Methodist Church in South Africa, enriched and challenged by the experience, Ann Clark welcomes the opportunity to share my journey with you. Following a meal (7.30 pm) prepared, cooked and served by Pat & Keith H and their team at Baildon, Ann will, aided with the video footage and photographs she took, talk about the friends she met and shared with and how Phakamisa continues to minister to and serve the impoverished communities of Pinetown, South Africa.
